Hello my name is John Jonker, I live with Anna Uther in Sydney. Anna has complete Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum (ACC).

I am employed as a groundsman by a local council. My job involves mowing, whipper snippering and line marking as well as cleaning the amenities of the 2 oval complex.

I met Anna at my local tenpin bowling alley. We were both assigned to the same team. We started doing things socially and Anna told me about about her condition.

Anna also got me interested in her love of the dog sport agility. (Show jumping for dogs). I have now tried the sport with my mini poodle called “Racey", with some success.

I am in a rather unique situation, living with an adult with the disorder, ACC. Anna has trouble with spatial awareness and in some social situations.

I suppose I am Anna’s support but she has achieved a great deal herself . Anna also has great support from her parents and siblings.

I joined AusDoCC in order to learn more about the condition and to help out where possible. Anna holds down a part-time job and drives a car.

We have our issues and arguments like any couple but are happy to be together.
