The airport is a 25 minute drive from University College.
The city centre is a 10 minute tram ride or a 20 minute walk away.
Cafés and restaurants of cosmopolitan Lygon Street, Carlton are a 5 minute walk away.
Accommodation available
Most of the college accommodation comprises single occupancy student rooms (New College Rooms with Ensuite Facilities). Each room has a double bed, desk and small (European style) ensuite. These rooms are located in rows along a corridor, predominantly in the Sweet or Roper wings. We will be able to place people attending Connections 2023 close together in rooms adjacent to each other, i.e. next door or across the hall.
A limited number of slightly larger Graduate Ensuite Rooms, with double occupancy are located in the Leitch wing and these will be allocated according to need.
All the ‘New College rooms with Ensuite Facitlites’ will be available to us, as well as some of the ‘Graduate Ensuite Rooms.’
A limited number of accessible rooms with a double bed and lift access are available. One ground floor accessible room will be available on a shared basis, for showering and changing
A limited number of one/two bedroom apartments may also be available and will be prioritised according to greatest need. We can discuss room options with you if needed. We will do our best to meet needs wherever possible.
Most attendees will stay in the New College Rooms with ensuite facilities or Graduate Ensuite Rooms.
AusDoCC will aim to put attendees in a room configuration that is best suited, within the limitations of rooms that are available.
